Cecil R. Gray Inducted into 2015 Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame at Rentiesville, OK

Cecil R. Gray, vocalist, lead guitarist, harmonica, and songwriter, was inducted into the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame at the Down Home Blues Club in Rentiesville, OK on 23 May 2015. This induction honor is a major milestone in Cecil’s musical career. Cecil was one of eight dedicated blues musicians to be inducted. Friends of the Rentiesville Blues Committee at Renmittee at Rentiesville base the inductions on those who have lived in Oklahoma or have helped with the Rentiesville Blues Festival and who carry the music forward with dignity.
Cecil Gray and Red Dawn Blues Band Win 2004 NAMMY for Best Blues
On February 10, 2005 at the 7th annual Native American Music Awards (NAMA) ceremony held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FLA, Cecil and his band ‘Red Dawn Blues Band’ were exuberate to receive the NAMA award for the Best Blues/Jazz Recording category. This was for his cd “Indian Harmony”. Cecil is an independent artist with four blues and one gospel cds, which were recorded at Rhythm Trax Studio (Oklahoma City, OK). Each of these cds submitted to the NAMA has achieved a NAMA nomination. He has recently produced a new blues cd "Saddle Mountain Blues", which was recorded at SoulJourn Studio (Lawton, OK) with his current band ‘Cecil Gray Native Blues’.
