RICHARD WOOD

Richard wood is the bass player.  Richard is a dual-enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Choctaw tribe.  He is a multi-instrumentalist from Talequah, Oklahoma, and has been playing in Northeastern Oklahoma-based bands, including Sohns, McClain & Wood, Locus, Critical Mass, and various others for the last 8 years.  He has performed throughout the lower Midwest region and at several regional festivals, including the Dusk ‘til Dawn Blues Festival and the Red Fern Festival.  Additionally, Richard has participated twice in the Tulsa Blues Challenge.  Influenced by rock, jazz, funk, and, especially, the blues, Richard started playing guitar at age 18, before broadening his range to other stringed instruments, including bass, mandolin, lap steel guitar, and slide guitar.  His versatility and musical proficiency make him a valuable new component to the group.
